Classic chocolate brownies
Classic chocolate brownies
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Sift in the cocoa powder, flour and salt, and mix until smooth.
Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them into squares and serving.
Enjoy your homemade classic chocolate brownies!
Note: You can add nuts, more chocolate chips or even drizzle melted chocolate on top for more decadent brownies. Also you can adjust the sugar to your liking, if you prefer them more sweet or less.
